SLX-NOISE is an ambient noise micro-sensor which can be deployed to measure Sound Pressure Level (SPL).
This is a measure of how much the ambient air pressure is disturbed by a soundwave. Over a specific amount of time, it averages to a single number decibel equivalent. This is the Equivalent Continuous Sound Pressure Level (LEQ).
The noise sensor provides sensing and reporting of the following noise levels:
